This is why I do what I do. This is why I have pushed the “idea” of ChopSaver for so long, against unbelievable odds. Imaging creating a product in your kitchen and, with no business background, trying to compete with Band Aid® or Coca Cola® or Kleenex®, brand names so common they have become the noun.

When you believe (and you believe it because your customers tell you so) that you have created a vast improvement on iconic brands like Chapstick®, Blistex®, Carmex® and even Burt’s Bees®, you keep going because of testimonials like the ones you see above.

Imagine the musician for whom making music is now easier, whether they are a beginner or a professional. I made some “goo” in my kitchen over a decade ago and a cancer patient can now enjoy the most basic functions essential for any quality of life – eating and sleeping – because of it. Imagine that.

Because I believed that the current choices on the market were severely lacking in effectiveness and I dared to imagine something better, I kept going.  And now, major retailers like CVS/pharmacy® have given us the platform necessary to make it easier for people to compare for themselves. Yes, this is my opinion, but is an opinion bolstered by the opinions of thousands – and soon to be millions – of people for whom chronic lip irritation had become a way of life.

Do I want to run a wildly successful business? Of course I do. But that is not the goal. That result will be the by-product of creating fun yet highly effective products that make a dramatic difference in people’s lives. For those who have helped us along the way, either through direct involvement in the company or simply by purchasing a tube of Gosling’s Original ChopSaver® Lip Care, I say “Thank you!” for joining me on that journey.
