“Arnica? What’s Arnica?”
That’s exactly what I said when my friend and former student told me how he treated a bruised lip that he’d suffered in a marching band collision a few years earlier.
“Arnica! It’s an herbal product that you can find in any health food store.” He explained that arnica is a natural anti-inflammatory, a healing herb derived from sunflowers. It often comes in a cream, ointment, or even pill form. I learned that it’s been used for centuries as a remedy for bruising and swelling because it works. Somehow, I had never heard of this “magic ingredient,” but I knew right then, that my life had changed forever.
My name is Dan Gosling and I’m a professional trumpet player. You can read my music credentials down below. But this is how the formula for Gosling’s OriginalChopSaver Lip Care came to be and how I became The ChopSaver Guy.
I decided I was going to make the best…lip balm…ever! The journal I’d been keeping at the time turned into my recipe book. I was obsessed! For the next 2 months, I looked like a mad scientist in my kitchen – combining all sorts of natural healing agents and plant-based moisturizers. The first attempts were horrible, and my wife? Well, she thought I was going through a mid-life crisis! But I kept at it until I had assembled the perfect combination of ingredients.
ChopSaver is full of nature’s most therapeutic elements including shea butter, mango butter, avocado oil, aloe, citrus oils, grapeseed oil, and, of course, arnica. All known for their healing, soothing qualities, the complete list of ingredients can be found here. If you’re tired of chronic lip problems and looking for the ultimate in lip therapy, you’re in the right place. I’m so pleased to know that countless musicians of all abilities now rely on ChopSaver as a part of their daily routine.
